A series of coordinated burglaries has targeted luxury villas and apartments in the Ville Verte district of Bouskoura, near Casablanca, according to reports from Assabah.
The break-ins were allegedly carried out by three masked individuals who used the same method across multiple properties located within the same residential compound. Security camera footage reportedly captured the suspects moving through the premises while concealing their identities with masks.
According to the report, the burglars forced entry into the homes using crowbars or heavy screwdrivers. Once inside, they headed directly to bedrooms and private areas where valuables were likely to be stored.
The suspects focused on jewelry, luxury watches, gold, cash, and other high-value items that could be easily transported and resold. In several cases, safes were also forced open using the same tools.
Authorities estimate that the total value of the stolen goods amounts to several million dirhams.
Investigators believe the operation was carefully planned and preceded by reconnaissance. The suspects appeared to target only properties whose owners were away during the Eid al-Adha holiday period.
The report also noted that security personnel assigned to the residential compound were absent on the day of Eid, leaving the area without its usual level of surveillance and protection.
Law enforcement officials have identified several common elements linking the incidents and are treating the burglaries as part of a coordinated operation. An investigation has been opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
