Moroccan artist DYSTINCT has secured a Guinness World Records title, marking a major milestone in his career and reinforcing the growing global influence of Arabic music.
The singer earned the distinction after topping the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 as the No. 1 male artist. The achievement was driven by the success of his hit singles YAMA and LA.
The Guinness recognition makes DYSTINCT the first male artist to obtain such a title through his performance on Billboard Arabia charts, a development seen as a breakthrough moment for Arabic-language music on the global stage.
“YAMA” remained at the top of the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 for more than 15 consecutive weeks, becoming one of the most successful Arabic songs in recent years. The track also gained significant traction on TikTok, generating more than 5 million user-created videos and expanding its reach among international audiences.
