The Social Organization for the Protection of Animals (OSPA) said on Wednesday that it is closely following legal proceedings related to a complaint it filed against YouTuber Bn Nsns over a controversial video that sparked widespread outrage on social media.

In a statement, the organization said its president and legal adviser, Meryem Sabahi, was present at the Court of First Instance in Temara to monitor procedures linked to the complaint.

The case stems from a video published on YouTube by Bn Nsns that drew strong backlash online, in which he appears to cook a dead dog, reportedly presenting the act as a protest against rising sheep prices ahead of Eid al-Adha.

The video prompted complaints from several organizations, including the National Organization for Cyber Protection, which called for an investigation into possible criminal offenses related to the content.

Animal welfare advocates have argued that such material risks normalizing cruelty toward animals and have urged authorities to enforce existing animal protection laws.

The National Organization for the Defense of Animals in Morocco said it remains committed to promoting animal welfare, raising public awareness about respect for living creatures, and pursuing its work through legal and institutional channels.
