King Mohammed VI sent a message to Abdellatif Hammouchi praising the work of Morocco’s national police forces on the 70th anniversary of the General Directorate of National Security, highlighting their role in maintaining public order and national stability.
The message came in response to a loyalty letter sent by Hammouchi, who heads both the national police and domestic intelligence agency, on behalf of Morocco’s police institution.
In the letter, the king commended what he described as the “dedicated and tireless efforts” of police officers and staff, praising their commitment to protecting citizens, preserving security and safeguarding public order.
The royal message also reiterated official backing for Morocco’s security institutions at a time when authorities are expanding modernization efforts across policing, surveillance and counterterrorism structures ahead of major international events including the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
