French national team coach Didier Deschamps has identified Morocco as one of the nations capable of aiming very high at the 2026 World Cup.

The French manager made these remarks during a press conference on Thursday while unveiling his 26-player squad for the upcoming tournament.

With the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico just weeks away, Deschamps acknowledged that several teams possess the potential to go all the way.

He explicitly placed the Atlas Lions alongside some of the greatest football powers in the world.

When discussing his team’s chances, Deschamps stated, “The offensive potential is there. After France is first in the FIFA rankings… Are we more favorites than Spain, Portugal, Germany, England, Argentina, Brazil, Morocco…”
