Morocco’s exports in the automotive sector reached nearly MAD 42 billion at the end of March 2026, witnessing a 12.1% year-on-year growth, according to the Exchange Office.

The figures are mainly attributed to increased sales across segments in “Manufacturing” (+23.7% amounting to MAD 16.88 billion) and “Cabling” (+10.9% to MAD 16.04 billion), the Exchange Office points out in its recent bulletin on monthly indicators of external trade.

Meanwhile, aerospace exports improved by 12.6% totaling around MAD 8 billion. The rise was due to a sales surge in “Structural Assembly” (+18.6%) and “Electrical Wiring Interconnection System” – EWIS (+1,6%).

Conversely, the Exchange Office bulletin reports a decrease of exports in “Textile and leather” (-14,1%), “Phosphates and derivatives” (-7,4%), “Electronics and Electricity” (4,7%), and “ Agriculture and Agri-Food” (-2,3%).

Overall exports recorded an increase of 3.3% to MAD 120.7 billion by the end of the first Q1 of the year.
