Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology has issued an orange-level weather alert for Monday and Tuesday, warning of strong localised thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hail in several regions across the country.
Rainfall of between 30 and 40mm is expected in the provinces of Khemisset, Sidi Slimane, Khenifra, Khouribga, Fkih Ben Salah, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Settat, Marrakech, Kelaat Sraghna, Al Haouz, and Rehamna, from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Monday.
A second wave of between 25 and 30mm is forecast for Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Driouch, Taza, and Taounate, from Monday at 6:00 PM through to Tuesday at 6:00 AM.
