Morocco finished third overall at the 10th Moulay El Hassan Para Athletics Grand Prix, held April 23–25 at Rabat’s Olympic Stadium under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, securing 31 medals (8 gold, 16 silver, 7 bronze).
Brazil topped the standings with 57 medals, followed by China with 34, while Morocco’s third-place finish among 58 participating nations highlights the country’s growing strength in para-athletics and the continued momentum of disability sports at the national level.
The event mobilized nearly 100 referees, a similar number of organizers, 150 volunteers, and 15 medical staff members, with the program including around 120 athletics events covering various disability categories.
At the end of the competitions, the President of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sports for Persons with Disabilities, Hamid El Aouni, highlighted that the results reflect the sustained momentum of sports for persons with disabilities at the national level.
He pointed out that the event provided a favorable opportunity to identify new talents among Moroccan athletes, giving them the chance to achieve their first performances and compete against the international elite.
This edition brought together more than 500 athletes representing 58 countries, including world title holders, who came to improve their performances and consolidate their international rankings.
