Satellite images suggest Algeria builds underground military sites near Morocco border

Recent satellite images circulated by OSINT accounts on X and Telegram suggest that Algeria’s military may be constructing underground bunkers and hangars near its border with Morocco.

According to the India based conflict monitoring platform ConflictX, the apparent shift toward underground facilities would mark a departure from the surface level deployments that have long characterized Algeria’s military posture.

The same sources link these developments to broader changes in regional warfare, including the growing role of precision strikes, drones and long range rocket systems.

There has been no official confirmation from Algerian authorities regarding the nature or purpose of the reported construction.
