Police in Larache arrested a 24-year-old man Tuesday evening on suspicion of committing thefts by breaking into vehicles parked in public areas, authorities said.
The suspect was identified after a video showing the break-ins circulated on social media, prompting an investigation by local police. During the operation, officers seized a mask the suspect reportedly used to conceal his identity, along with the clothing worn during the alleged crimes.
The suspect is being held in police custody while authorities continue the investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor to determine all circumstances of the case and identify any additional criminal acts.
