Moroccan league postpones matches amid international break

The National Professional Football League announced the rescheduling of several games in the Moroccan top-flight championship due to the international break and national team commitments.

In a statement, the league said matches from rounds 10 and 11 of the Botola Pro will be postponed until after the international window, in a move aimed at ensuring competitive balance and allowing the national team players to represent their national teams under optimal conditions.

The decision follows requests from several clubs to delay their fixtures, invoking their legal right to do so despite having previously agreed to the scheduled dates. The league said it reviewed the calendar to accommodate these requests while maintaining fairness among all teams.

The league added that a detailed schedule for the postponed matches will be announced at a later date through its official channels, emphasizing its commitment to managing the competition in line with both domestic and international constraints.

The announcement comes a day after the league had initially released the schedule for the affected fixtures, before clubs formally requested postponements in accordance with competition regulations set by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
