PJD urges Iran to avoid regional escalation after Israel US strikes

Morocco’s Justice and Development Party (PJD) condemned what it described as the “brutal Zionist American aggression against Iran and its people and resources,” while also denouncing Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s sovereignty.

In a statement issued after a meeting of its general secretariat, the party also stressed its “absolute rejection of any threat to the security and stability of brotherly Arab and Islamic countries,” including what it called “unjustified attacks carried out by Iran against its neighbors in the Gulf.”

The party urged Iranian authorities to “refrain from responding to the Zionist American aggression with counterattacks against neighboring countries,” warning that such actions could push the region toward “a comprehensive war and a major confrontation between nations of the same community.”

The PJD also called on leaders, political forces and civil society across the region to work “to unite efforts and form a front of resilience” capable of defending the interests and stability of their countries.

In the same statement, the party criticized the level of programming broadcast on Morocco’s public television channels during Ramadan and urged authorities to “respect the sanctity of this month.”
