The United Arab Emirates said its air defense forces have intercepted 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 Iranian drones since the start of attacks on February 28, 2026.

The UAE Ministry of Defense reported that on the morning of the second day of Iranian strikes, the UAE Air Force and air defense units destroyed 20 ballistic missiles, while eight fell into the sea. Two cruise missiles were destroyed, along with 311 drones. However, 21 drones struck civilian targets.

Since the attacks began, 152 of the 165 ballistic missiles were intercepted, and 13 landed in the sea. Both cruise missiles were destroyed. Out of 541 drones launched, 506 were intercepted, while 35 struck UAE territory, causing material damage.

The strikes killed three foreign nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, and injured 58 people of various nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, and Afghan residents.

The Ministry said debris from intercepted missiles and drones caused minor to moderate damage to civilian properties in several areas.

The ministry emphasized that the UAE armed forces remain on high alert and fully prepared to respond to any threat. It also urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and avoid spreading rumors or unverified reports.
