Morocco’s Atlas Lions are set to play two friendly matches against Ecuador and Paraguay as part of the build-up to the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for June in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
According to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Morocco will face Ecuador on March 27 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, with kickoff set for 9:15 p.m. local time. The second friendly will be played against Paraguay on March 31 at the Bollaert-Delelis Stadium in Lens, France, starting at 8 p.m.
The two matches will mark Morocco’s first appearances since the dramatic loss to Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations final, where the national team narrowly missed out on the title.
The FRMF had previously denied reports suggesting that head coach Walid Regragui had submitted his resignation, without clearly stating whether he would continue in charge of the national team.
