A mild 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Ksar El Kebir on Monday evening, according to seismic monitoring stations. The tremor was recorded at 7:32 p.m., with its epicenter in the Oulad Ouchih area between Ksar El Kebir and Larache.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of around 23.9 kilometers, making it a minor seismic event. Residents in several parts of Ksar El Kebir province reported feeling the shaking.
