Royal Air Maroc cancels several Paris flights due to adverse weather

Royal Air Maroc on Tuesday cancelled several flights to and from Paris scheduled for Jan. 7, 2026, citing adverse weather conditions in the French capital as snow disrupted air traffic at major airports.

In a notice to passengers, the Moroccan flag carrier said the cancellations were linked to weather related operational constraints in Paris. The airline said it was assisting affected passengers by automatically rebooking them on alternative flights, provided their contact details were up to date in their reservation files.

Passengers eligible for rebooking will receive confirmation by email and SMS, Royal Air Maroc said, urging customers to check the status of their flights and update their personal information through the “Manage My Booking” section of its website.

French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot confirmed that heavy snow forced the cancellation of “around 100 flights” at Charles-de-Gaulle and approximately 40 at Orly on Jan. 7, with airlines required to reduce runway movements as weather conditions persisted.

Air France and other major European carriers also reported schedule disruptions in Paris, but Morocco’s international flight network, including scheduled services between Casablanca, Marrakech and Paris, continued to function, with only isolated weather-related cancellations earlier in the week.

Airlines and airports reiterated that weather impacts remain dynamic, and passengers should check official status tools before departure.
