The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced a major musical event in Morocco ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, featuring globally renowned artists including Moroccan-American rapper French Montana and Nigerian star Davido.

According to an official CAF statement, the concert will take place on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the “OLM” Fan Zone in Rabat’s Souissi district, starting at 6 p.m. local time. The event is part of a broader entertainment program organized in partnership with TotalEnergies and the Moroccan authorities.

CAF said the concert is part of a larger vision to transform the days leading up to the continental tournament into an African celebration, blending football, music, and culture to showcase the continent’s diversity and creative richness.

Other performers include Moroccan singer Douaa Lhiaoui, representing a new generation of national talent, as well as Says’z and Lartiste, known for their innovative mixes of musical styles and cultural influences.

CAF highlighted the symbolic significance of French Montana’s participation, marking his return to his country of origin for a major continental event after achieving international success in the United States and beyond. Davido’s presence reflects the global reach of Afrobeat music.

The confederation said the concert is expected to be the highlight of the tournament’s opening weekend and a clear demonstration of Morocco’s ambition to deliver an exceptional Africa Cup of Nations experience, extending excitement from the pitch to cultural and artistic spaces.
