Several dams across Morocco recorded slight increases in water reserves over the past 24 hours following recent rainfall, contributing to a modest improvement in fill rates, according to official data from the Ministry of Equipment and Water.
Figures published by the MaDialna water information portal show that the Al Massira dam, near Settat, gained around 680,000 cubic meters of water, raising its fill rate to 2.7 percent, one of the lowest levels nationwide despite the recent inflow. In contrast, the Al Wahda dam on the Sebou River near Kenitra saw its reserves rise by about 760,000 cubic meters, bringing its fill rate to 62.2 percent.
Further inland, the Ahmed Al Hansali dam in Beni Mellal recorded an increase of roughly 900,000 cubic meters, lifting its fill level to 11.9 percent. The Idriss I dam near Taounate also registered a gain of about 310,000 cubic meters, pushing its fill rate to 33.9 percent.
Authorities say these figures could improve further as rainfall continues in several regions, though overall water stress remains a concern nationwide.
