Morocco has launched ELOGHA-SUP, the country’s first 100% Moroccan language-learning platform, which also supports sign language and Braille, making it more inclusive for students with special needs.

The platform aims to help students learn both national and foreign languages, promoting equal access and opportunities. It aligns with Framework Law No. 51.17, and the ministry’s plan to enhance student skills and human capital.

Developed by a Moroccan multidisciplinary team, ELOGHA-SUP aims to strengthen national digital sovereignty and protect student data, offering a secure platform built entirely with local expertise.

“ELOGHA-SUP is more than just a platform. It represents a step toward true digital independence and a model that enhances Morocco’s digital presence,” said Adil Ammar, Digitalization Pole Director at Mohammed V University in Rabat, on LinkedIn.

The platform initially offers five languages, namely, Arabic and Amazigh as official languages, along with English, French, and Spanish, and follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to ensure quality and international standards.

Morocco’s Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, Azzedine El Midaoui, emphasized that this platform, developed entirely with Moroccan expertise, “aims to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the university system and to address the technical and material challenges posed by the existing platform.”

According to media reports, ELOGHA-SUP offers an interactive learning experience with AI tools and a language chatbot.

It includes over 2,000 resources, virtual training scenarios, interactive capsules, podcasts, and MOOCs and SPOCs.

The platform covers Morocco’s six academic clusters, including Science and Technology, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, Economics and Management, Life and Health Sciences, as well as Education, ensuring students gain language skills relevant to their future careers.
