King Mohammed VI on Tuesday appointed a new group of walis and governors within Morocco’s territorial administration during an audience held at the Royal Palace in Rabat.
The appointments include three new walis and several provincial and prefectural governors, who were sworn in before the King in the presence of Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit and the King’s Chamberlain, Sidi Mohammed El Alaoui.
The newly appointed walis are:

Khatib El Hebil, Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region and governor of the Marrakech prefecture.

Khalid Ait Taleb, Wali of the Fès-Meknès region and governor of the Fès prefecture.

Mhamed Atfaoui, Wali of the Oriental region and governor of the Oujda-Angad prefecture.
The new governors are:

Fouad Hajji, governor of Al Hoceima province.

Hassan Zitouni, governor of Azilal province.

Sidi Saleh Daha, governor of El Jadida province.

Abdelkhalek Marzouki, governor of the Casablanca-Anfa prefecture.

Mohamed Alami Ouaddan, governor of Zagora province.

Mustapha El Maaza, governor of Al Haouz province.

Rachid Benchikhi, governor of Taza province.

Mohamed Zhar, governor of the Inezgane-Aït Melloul prefecture.

Mohamed Khalfaoui, governor of Fahs-Anjra province.

Zakaria Hachlaf, governor of Chefchaouen province.

Abdelaziz Zerouali, governor of Sidi Kacem province.

Abdelkrim Ghannami, governor of Taounate province.
The ceremony reflects Morocco’s ongoing efforts to strengthen territorial governance and enhance the implementation of development projects at the regional and local levels.
