The International University of Rabat (UIR) announced that six of its researchers have been ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in 2024, according to the annual global ranking conducted by Stanford University.

The honored scholars are Mounir Ghogho, Asmae Berrada, Mohamed Balli, Said Ahzi, Amine Belhadi, and Foued Saâdaoui. The Stanford ranking, based on data indexed in Scopus, evaluates researchers through indicators such as publication quality, citation count, and overall scientific impact.

This year’s recognition highlights both career-long achievements and research output for 2023, reflecting UIR’s growing influence in international academia.

The six researchers represent a broad range of disciplines, from engineering and medicine to social sciences and information technology, underscoring the university’s multidisciplinary strength.

UIR said the distinction affirms its commitment to academic excellence and global scientific collaboration, consolidating its position as one of Morocco’s leading research institutions.
