Authorities in Khouribga have moved to quell calls for weekend protests, as the city’s pasha issued a ban on demonstrations planned for September 27 and 28 at Al-Firdous Square.
The decision cited security and public safety concerns, noting that the protests, which were called for by unknown parties, could result in damage to citizens and properties.
Demonstrations are banned in Al-Firdaous Square and any other public space, the document stressed, holding both organizers and participants responsible for any legal consequences.
