A German couple celebrated their wedding in a unique Amazigh ceremony amidst the golden sands of Morocco’s southeastern Sahara, blending German romance with rich Moroccan culture.

The German couple, Gietz Sascha and Hirmer Sacharow Sofia, chose the sands of Merzouga for their wedding venue. They expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality shown by the local Aït Khabach tribespeople, stating: “We felt at home,” and emphasizing, “Morocco is a country of hospitality and generosity.”

The celebration, attended by friends, relatives, and many members of the Aït Khabach tribe, served as a vibrant cultural exchange. The couple deliberately incorporated the traditions of the Aït Khabach tribes into their ceremony, a decision they said fulfilled their desire to live a unique experience.

The bride noted, “We wanted to live a unique and distinctive experience, and we found in Morocco, specifically Merzouga and the Amazigh traditions, what fulfilled our desires.”
