Inflation is expected to remain at 1% in 2025, the same level as in 2024, before accelerating to 1.9% in 2026, according to Morocco’s central bank (BAM).

“Inflation continues to evolve at moderate levels, averaging 1.1 percent over the first eight months of 2025,” BAM said in its 2025 third quarterly report.

Core inflation should decline from 2.2 percent in 2024 to 1.1 percent in 2025, then rise to 2 percent in 2026, the statement added.

Meanwhile, inflation expectations remain well-anchored, with financial sector experts forecasting, in the third quarter of 2025, average rates of 2.1% over an 8-quarter horizon and 2.2% over a 12-quarter horizon.
