The World Manufacturing Convention 2025 opened Saturday in Hefei, capital of China’s Anhui province, with Morocco taking part through a delegation led by Karim Zidan, minister delegate in charge of investment and policy evaluation.

The four-day gathering, held under the theme “Smart Manufacturing, Better Future,” brings together senior officials, diplomats, business leaders and representatives of international organizations from more than 40 countries and regions.

Backed by China’s State Council, the event serves as a platform for industrial networking, investment promotion and the signing of project agreements, while showcasing advances in major industrial chains.

Organizers include the Anhui provincial government, the Chinese strategic advisory committee on manufacturing, the China SME association and the Global SME alliance.

The Moroccan delegation’s agenda features B2B meetings, factory visits, including to battery maker Gotion High-Tech, and exchanges with regional authorities on strategic industries such as automotive and agri-food.
