Morocco’s 25th “Marhaba” operation concluded Monday with a record transit of more than 4.06 million Moroccans living abroad between June 10 and September 15, marking an 11 percent increase over 2024, according to the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
Foundation spokesperson Sanae Dardikh told MAP that the program, held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, demonstrated the strength of ties between Morocco and its diaspora, while ensuring a “smooth” flow of travelers, even during peak days when over 86,000 arrivals were recorded.
She said 26 “Marhaba” reception centers were set up in Morocco and abroad, mobilizing more than 1,000 staff to provide social and medical assistance. Over 88,000 people received direct support, including 7,500 medical cases such as emergencies requiring hospitalization.
