The 27th edition of Jazz au Chellah takes a new turn this year, rebranded as Jazz à Rabat and relocated to the Hassan II Park amphitheater.
The festival will run from 25 to 27 September 2025, featuring nightly concerts born from collaborations between European and Moroccan musicians, alongside a street performance and participatory workshops.
Opening night will bring the Greco-German Tania Giannouli Trio together with Moroccan percussionist Abdelfettah Houssaini, blending Mediterranean and oriental sounds. The Céline Bonacina Quartet will follow, joined by Hamza Bennani Smires and Driss Nigra in a trumpet-oud fusion.
The program continues with Catalan rising star Alba Careta alongside Tangier’s Jazz’in Trio, Hungarian duo Sara Bolyki & Petra Várallyay with Morocco’s Tchubi Sextet, and Swedish singer Lina Nyberg’s quartet paired with Bab L’bluz. The festival will close with Belgium’s A.M.E. trio and Mehdi Qamoum’s ensemble mixing Amazigh traditions and world music.
Workshops and a street show will complement the program, highlighting percussion and collective creation. The event is organized by the EU in Morocco with the Ministry of Culture and the Wilaya of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.
