The Jordanian ambassador to Morocco, Jumana Ghneimat, announced today that Royal Jordanian Airlines will begin operating direct, regular flights between Amman, Jordan, and Casablanca, Morocco. The new service is scheduled to launch in mid-October.
In a press statement, Ghneimat explained that this new air route is intended to strengthen cooperation between the two kingdoms by supporting travel, tourism, and trade, as well as reinforcing cultural and economic ties. She described the Amman-Casablanca direct line as a “strategic step” that will reduce travel time to about five hours, serving as an “air bridge” between the Arab East and West and promoting mutual openness between the two nations.
Ghneimat hailed the development as a “qualitative addition” that reflects the deep, historical relationship between Jordan and Morocco. She emphasized that the move embodies a shared commitment to boosting bilateral cooperation in various fields, including investment, tourism, culture, and education.
