King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, presided over a royal audience on Saturday at the Royal Palace in Rabat to appoint new walis and governors across Morocco’s territorial and central administration.
The royal appointments include the following:
Walis in Central Administration:
- Samir Mohamed Tazi – Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior
- Mohamed Fawzi – Inspector General of Territorial Administration
- Hassan Aghmari – Director of Electoral Affairs
- Abdelhaq Harrak – Director of Information and Communication Systems
Governors in Territorial Administration:
- Mohamed Ali Habouha – Governor of Settat Province
- Jamal Khlouk – Governor of Berrechid Province
- Adel Maliki – Governor of Mohammedia Prefecture
- Hassan Boukouta – Governor of Benslimane Province
- Samir El Yazidi – Governor of Kalaa of Sraghna Province
- Mohamed Drahom – Governor of Sidi Ifni Province
- Brahim Abouzeid – Governor of Sefrou Province
- Hicham El Madaghri Alaoui – Governor of Khouribga Province
- Hamid Achnouri – Governor of Berkane Province
- Mohamed Salem Sebti – Governor of Chtouka Ait Baha Province

Governor in Central Administration:

During the ceremony, the newly appointed governors took the oath of office before His Majesty the King. The audience was also attended by Minister of the Interior Abdelouafi Laftit and the King’s Chamberlain, Sidi Mohamed Alaoui.
