Former Moroccan international Nordin Amrabat has signed with Wydad Athletic Club, the team announced Saturday, as it gears up for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The 38-year-old winger finalized the deal after passing his medical examination earlier in the day, according to sources close to the club who spoke to Hesport.
Amrabat joins Wydad following the expiration of his contract with Hull City in England, where he made 10 league appearances last season, registering one assist.
The veteran midfielder has not played for the Moroccan national team in more than three years but boasts an impressive international career, having earned 64 caps and scored seven goals.
Wydad is expected to strengthen its roster with additional signings as it prepares to represent Morocco in the upcoming Club World Cup, with hopes of delivering a strong performance on the global stage.
