Customs and national police officers at the Bab Sebta border crossing have thwarted an attempt to smuggle hashish, according to a customs source.
Officials, working with the police canine unit, intercepted a Moroccan national who was preparing to leave in a Spain-registered car.
Upon inspection, approximately 75 kilograms of hashish were discovered hidden beneath the vehicle’s seats.
The suspect was detained and handed over to the judicial police in Tetouan, while the drugs and vehicle were seized for further investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
