A series of strategic agreements were signed between the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, public enterprises, and national institutions, at the third edition of GITEX Africa Morocco, held from April 14 to 16, 2025 in Marrakech.
Among the key agreements was one involving the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Digital Transition, and Barid Al-Maghrib to enhance Amazigh language use in postal services.
This includes Amazigh-speaking staff, signage, and digital integration, in alignment with Law 26-16 and Article 5 of the Constitution.
Another milestone was the agreement to establish the JAZARI Institute in Guelmim-Oued Noun, a regional innovation hub dedicated to applied research and digital transformation.
This center will mobilize artificial intelligence across strategic sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, tourism, health, and the blue economy, reinforcing the “Made in Morocco” identity in southern regions while supporting SME digital inclusion.
Additionally, a partnership between the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, and relevant ministries aims to introduce 200,000 young footballers to digital and AI tools tailored to their athletic development, beginning with pilot programs in federal centers before nationwide rollout.
The event also marked the launch of a TravelTech initiative through a partnership between the Ministry of Digital Transition, Royal Air Maroc, and the Digital Development Agency, positioning Morocco as a key player in Africa’s digital travel ecosystem and solidifying RAM’s role as Official Carrier of GITEX Africa.
