Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has praised Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi for his standout performances and vital contribution to the club’s latest Ligue 1 title win, following PSG’s 1–0 victory over Angers on Saturday in matchday 28.
Speaking at a post-match press conference, Enrique lauded the 25-year-old defender’s versatility and consistency, stating:
“Hakimi is a right-back, a midfielder, and a forward all in one. My tactical system suits his skillset perfectly.”
He added,
“He thrives because of the players around him, and his primary focus is always the team. That’s the secret to his success—he attacks, counters, defends, and presses.”
The Spanish coach also emphasized Hakimi’s importance to the squad in terms of playing time:
“He’s one of the players with the most minutes, both this season and last. I’m genuinely happy to coach a player like him.”
This season, Hakimi has featured in 39 matches across all competitions, contributing 5 goals and 12 assists, confirming his status as one of the most influential figures in the PSG lineup.
The Moroccan star is under contract with PSG until the summer of 2029, and has already won eight titles with the club: four Ligue 1 championships, one Coupe de France, and three Trophées des Champions.
