Morocco is experiencing weather disruptions due to a low-pressure system centered off the Iberian Peninsula, causing scattered rainfall in the northern regions. According to Hussein Youaabid, spokesperson for the General Directorate of Meteorology, this weather pattern will persist for the coming days, particularly affecting the north, while high-pressure systems will dominate the central and southern regions.
Today, areas like Tangier, Loukkos, Rif, Saiss, and the Middle Atlas are expected to see rain or thunderstorms, while lighter, scattered showers will affect the interior, including Chaouia, Dukkala, Souss, and the High Atlas. The weather will remain relatively stable elsewhere, with some fog likely near coastal areas south of El Jadida.
Strong winds are forecast along northern and central coastlines, with sandstorms potentially reducing visibility in southeastern and eastern regions. Temperatures will range from 11°C in the Atlas to 30°C in the southeast, with a notable temperature contrast across the country.
