Morocco’s women’s futsal team has made an impressive leap in the latest FIFA futsal world rankings, rising 18 placements while the men’s team climbed one spot, now ranking 6th globally.

For the women’s category, Morocco has seen a remarkable rise, jumping from 65th to 47th place globally and leading the African ranking. They are now followed by Senegal (78th, +753 points).

Despite losing 7.6 points compared to the previous ranking in October 2024, Morocco’s men’s team managed to make progress due to a significant drop by Kazakhstan (7th), which fell two places and lost 60.91 points.

With 1468.4 points, Morocco remains the top African nation, well ahead of Egypt (37th), Libya (46th), South Africa (49th, +2), and Angola (58th).

On the global stage, Brazil retains the top position, followed by Portugal, with a gap of over 100 points. Spain (3rd, +1) surpassed Argentina (4th, -1), while Iran (5th, +1) and Morocco (6th, +1) also advanced, at Kazakhstan’s expense (7th, -2).

 Poland (19th, +3) and Armenia (20th, +11) have entered the top 20.

Other teams making significant progress include Bosnia and Herzegovina (36th, +12), Andorra (55th, +13), Latvia (60th, +11), and Greece (88th, +19).
