Casablanca Airport saw the first major change in passenger services as the National Airports Office (ONDA) began a series of improvements following the appointment of a new director.
The installation of automatic gates at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca replaced the need for a security officer to perform dual passport stamping, eliminating the double-check process for international travelers and streamlining travel flow.
This change, which allows for faster and more secure monitoring, will be expanded to all airports across Morocco by June 2025.
This new procedure, now in effect at Casablanca Airport, results from close collaboration between the National Security Directorate, the Immigration and Border Control Directorate, and ONDA.
The move aims to reduce waiting times and enhance the overall travel experience. The system will be gradually implemented across the country’s airports before the summer season, in line with the “Airports 2030” strategy, which seeks to balance efficiency and security through advanced technological solutions.
