Elmaleh expressed his frustration over the prolonged closure of these venues, hoping to receive an explanation regarding their situation.
He recalled his first show in Morocco over a year ago in Casablanca, a city where he grew up and dreamed of becoming a star.
He described the experience as an emotional mix of “happiness, joy, and fear,” making it a significant milestone in his career.
The comedian previously appealed to authorities to reopen these iconic theaters, emphasizing his enthusiasm to perform in what he described as “one of the most beautiful theaters in the world,” which he considers a “gift for all Moroccan and international artists.”
