Three trucks, carrying four Moroccan drivers, have gone missing between Burkina Faso and Niger, according to informed sources in the international freight transport sector who spoke to Hespress AR.

The trucks, which had completed their initial journey from Dori, Burkina Faso, were en route to Téra, Niger, when they disappeared on Saturday morning.

Sources from other Moroccan truck drivers in Dori have reported rumors circulating that members of the Boko Haram group may have abducted the four Moroccan drivers.

The General Union of National and International Transport Professionals has called on Moroccan diplomatic authorities in Niger and Burkina Faso to provide information regarding the missing trucks and their passengers.
